Informal Settlements

Today is a school day I live with my four brothers and three sisters so in the house we are eight children altogether. We wake up at 04:00 AM so I get up pour water in a tub and bath my brothers and sisters then wash myself , I get them dressed and go to make breakfast make but there’s no food so I go to school with a empty stomach.
 I get out the house barefoot and probably have to walk 5 KM to get to school.
When I get to school I have to go to the bathroom and wash my feet in the sink and go in class.


 In our class the windows are broken so the wind does come in and rain.
Our toilets are the drop toilets. For the little kids it’s not safe so they have to dig a hole do their business in the hole then fill it up.
 Then after a half an hour we have break then go home.
On my way home I also have to walk 5KM back .
When I finally get home. I live in a shack,I feel so tired and just throw myself on the bed but then my mom came in and said I must clean the house then I was cooking while I was cooking I cut myself and my mom took me to the hospital and we had wait about 5 hours.

After they put a bandage over me we walked home about 09:00 PM and it was so dark so we barely couldn’t see but we got home at 10:00 PM .
At night it was raining and the roof was leaking so when we got up it stopped raining so we took the clothes and make them dry and them on the washing line.



Every night when I go to sleep I dream of living in a mansion and sleeping in my own room a driving my own car

Today is the day.  So two weeks it was singing lesson day.So the singing inspector came he was a terrible man. He’s name was Mr Raymond he would come on Tuesdays and do singing with us. He has dark brown hair, long tanned legs , green eyes and wear a long and huge red coat that you can’t see what his wearing .  On Tuesday he came and called out Benny and said he must sing a song but then he never sang a song. So then that made him so angry that he started getting red and started shouting. so that made the children sad and they started crying.Then he called Glady and Jesse and shouted SING ALREADY STUPID CHILDREN then Jesse said we can sing pretty Polly then he shouted SING ALREADY STUPID CHILDREN . Letter to the Grade 4s of 2020.

Dear Grade 4s of 2020,Welcome to the Senior Primary Campus. Today I'll be telling you all about it.When I first came here I was scared but there is no need to worry because the teachers are very kind.Everyone was kind to one another and everybody got along. So towards the end of the terms there is something we call Enrichment Day.  When it's Enrichment day the teachers will put out fun activities for us and we will choose 4 activities for the four days and on that day you will be doing what you chose and it you will do that for the whole day. There will be athletics day and for athletic you can do more sports and we also go to Parrow track. We also had a books by night so there you get to where your pajamas it’s really fun. There is also an Interhouse where we play sports for your house. In grade five there is an Egyptian day where we will dress up as the people in Egypt and we will do fun stuff. Stranded on the Island

When I realized I was stranded I felt so alone because I had no one to talk too. My biggest fear was to find food and water because these are the most two important things. My aim was to survive in the big island. The first thing I saw was fresh water to drink. I do not like to be a leader because I have to tell everyone what to do.
